I am very excited to announce that I will be presenting my makeup artistry work on July 21st during the open forum at the Orlando Perez Photography Studio in Orange County starting at 6:30pm!
Orlando Perez has monthly meetings at his studio for makeup artists, models and photographers to talk about makeup, photo shoots, different styles of beauty and what is required and needed to achieve in a certain look. These meet ups are for those in the local photography industry to share their expertise with others. There is no charge for this open forum discussion.

Flawless January Jones
Flipping through the latest W Magazine, I ran across a stunning photo of January Jones, actress staring in the much anticipated X-Men: First Class movie out June 3rd. Keep reading to learn how to get her flawless makeup look!
Working as a Fashion Makeup Artist in Orange County, I always have clients wanting to recreate a certain look they see on tv or in a magazine.
Get January Jones Flawless look! :
Prep face with moisturizer and add an eyeshadow base to the lids. Apply a vanilla eyeshadow all over the eye. Add a peach shadow to the lid and a mid tone brown shadow in the crease. Apply a black pencil liner on top of lid and sweep into the lashes for a smokey effect. Use a white pencil in the waterline, this will make eyes appear larger and brighter. Finish eye with a few coats of your favorite mascara. Use MAC Studio Sculpt foundation all over the face and seal foundation with a matte powder. Apply a peach tone blush on the apples of the cheeks and a slightly darker shade to contour for gorgeous cheek bones. Use MAC’s Viva Glam Gaga 2 on lips for that perfect pout.

Love Prada!
As a Makeup Artist, I’m always flipping through fashion magazines, keeping an eye on the latest makeup trends. This is an industry standard when working as a Makeup Artist in Orange County, Los Angeles, or New York City.
While searching online for a specific Prada ad that I saw in C Magazine, I ran across another instead that I fell in love with. The makeup is just flawless! I thought I’d share this with you; a simple smokey eye and gorgeous red lip. Just stunning…love Prada!

Q&A-Concealer
The “Just Ask” Makeup Contest was a great success! I truly enjoyed answering everyone’s makeup related questions. A huge thank you to all that participated!
Here is one of my favorites:
Q. What’s the best concealer I can get without looking packed or that gets in my fine lines?
A. I like the the MAC Studio Finish Concealer. Use with the 195 concealer brush. Remember a little bit goes a long way. Make sure to put concealer on after your foundation. This way, you end up using less product and you avoid the cake like effect.

Lady Gaga-Recreate her makeup look!
MAC’s Viva Glam spokesperson for 2011, Lady Gaga. Find out how you can recreate her glowing makeup look!
Step 1: Prep the eye with MAC’s Prep + Prime Eye
Step 2: Dust MAC Vanilla eyeshadow all over the lid up to the brow, add MAC Phloof! eyeshadow to the lid, apply MAC Folie eyeshadow in the crease, and on the outer corner of the lid add MAC Twinks eyeshadow
Step 3: Add your favorite black liner and MAC Plush Lash mascara for those gorgeous lashes!
Step 4: Prep the face with your favorite moisturizer, add MAC Studio Fix Fluid, dust lightly with powder to set
Step 5: Apply MAC Pinch O’ Peach Blush to apples of the cheeks
Step 6: Finish the look by adding a light warm beige lipstick. Try Lady Gaga’s Viva Glam shade for that perfect look!

Get Gwyneth’s Look!
Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning at this year’s Academy Awards wearing a gorgeous Calvin Klein dress. Her makeup and hair was absolutely flawless!
Here’s how to recreate her makeup look:
Prep face with your favorite moisturizer. Try Neutrogena’s Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin with SFP to protect the face. Apply a buildable foundation such as MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid. Dust with a light powder to set the foundation. Use a base on the eyelid for long lasting eyeshadow. Add a peach eyeshadow to the lid, a light brown in the crease, and a burgundy shade on the corner and under the eye. Use a thin strip of black eyeliner on top and bottom lids. Finish the eye with a black mascara. Try Revlon Double Twist Volumizing Mascara Blackest Black for gorgeous lashes. Add a light blush to the apples of the cheeks. Try Revlon Matte Powder Blush Perfectly Peach 003. To finish the look, use Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss Peach Petal 150 for those gorgeous lips!
