I’m sure some of you have already seen a few pics I posted on social media of my latest shoot with Newport Beach Magazine for their June/July “Best of Beaches” Issue. The shoot was held on the gorgeous grounds of the Montage in Laguna Beach overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The day started out a bit foggy, but the sun did eventually shine! The theme of the shoot was all about resort wear…with bright hues and bold patterns, paired with the perfect Summer makeup!
Let’s get right into my favorite part…the makeup! For this shoot it was all about the lips with a bit of highlight and contour. The models were going to be wearing sunglasses at times (to keep with the resort wear theme), so the eye makeup was to be kept light and natural.

On stunning model Amy (above), I chose a gorgeous bronzy gold eyeshadow color, rosy blush and a lipstick to match. I lightly highlighted and contoured her cheekbones for a more defined look. To complete this makeup, I dusted bronzer on the high points of Amy’s face, where the sun would naturally hit.

For this makeup look on beautiful model Jennifer, I used a lightweight foundation and mixed it with a moisturizer for a dewy glow. I then applied a pink blush, highlighted and contoured her cheekbones, and completed the look with a gorgeous nude lip!

It’s all about bold lips for this makeup look! I choose an orangey coral lipstick shade, filled in Amy’s eyebrows with a pencil to enhance their shape, and added more mascara to the lashes for an intense look.

On model Amy (left) I added orange lipgloss to the previous bold orange lip to tone the color down and give the lips a different look. For model Jennifer (right), I mixed several different lipstick shades to get the most perfect matte fuchsia color. Love this! ♥

This was one of the first looks we did from the shoot with model Jennifer. I groomed her brows with an eyebrow pencil and added clear gel to set them into place. For the lips, I choose a pretty medium pink lipstick. To enhance her look, I added some bronzer for a beachy glow!
