All Dolled Up!

Have a hot date, going out with the girls, or just want to try something new? Get all dolled up with this gorgeous makeup look I created on lovely model Sydney Lee!

Here’s how to get the look…

  1. Start by priming the eye so that the makeup stays put.
  2. The eyeshadows I used for this look were all MAC. Sweep a gold shadow on the lid (Woodwinked), a mid tone brown in the crease (Espresso), darker brown in the corner and under the eye (Brun), and a dust of highlight under the brow (Shroom). You can find similar shades in the Urban Decay Naked2 palette.
  3. Add jet black liner to the lid. I used a gel, but you can also achieve this with a pencil.
  4. Curl the lashes and apply 2 coats of mascara to both the top and bottom.
  5. For this look I used individuals on her entire upper lash. I was able to stack them to create a sultry look.
  6. Use a white eye pencil in the waterline to really make the eye pop! Try the Soft Precision Eyeliner 31 by Inglot.
  7. Define the eyebrows with a pencil. You can always soften the look by using an eyeshadow.
  8. Apply your favorite foundation and set with powder; try Ben Nye’s Luxury Powders.
  9. Create gorgeous cheeks by using blush, highlighting, and contouring. I used MAC’s Blooming and Rimmel London’s Santa Rose for the blush, MAC’s Harmony to contour and Emphasize to highlight. To learn more about which brushes are best to use for highlighting and contouring click here.
  10. Dust bronzer to warm up the look; try Benefit’s Hoola Bronzing Powder for added glow.
  11. Line lips with a nude liner, apply nude lipstick. I used the shade Peach Blossom by MAC and added a dab of gloss to the middle.
  12. To seal in the makeup, use a setting spray like Urban Decay’s All Nighter.
